1. Objects in motion will remain in motion unless a force acts on it.
e.g. If a spaceship in space was in motion there is no gravity so it will keep going unless another force acts on it.
e.g. If a car was in motion it will eventually stop because of the two forces air resistance and friction.
2. F=MA = Acceleration is produced when a force acts on mass. The greater the mass the greater amount of force is needed.
e.g. If a car that weighs 1,000 kg is out of gas and it is pushed .05 m/s/s then the amount of force that is needed is =1,000 x 0.05= 50 N.
3. Whenever an object pushes another object it gets pushed back in the opposite direction equally hard.
e.g. If a rocket’s action is to push down on the ground with the force of its powerful engines and the reaction is that the ground pushes the rocket upwards with an equal force.
